Factory 52

Agar approached me with a unique opportunity: contributing to the transformation of Cincinnati’s historic Norwood playing card factory into Factory 52 — a lifestyle destination for living, working, shopping, and exploring.

With their long history of cultivating iconic Cincinnati brands, Agar led the creative vision for the space, from branding to large-scale murals. As part of that effort, they developed the concept of giant playing cards as the site’s primary signage, a bold nod to the building’s past.

My role was to design the bespoke artwork for the back of the card, paying homage to classic playing card design while aligning with the art deco aesthetic Agar had established. The result became a small but meaningful detail within the much larger revitalization of the site.
